Lowes Supports The Walking Veteran

Two Lowes Stores in the Fort Smith, Arkansas area gave the red carpet treatment for The Walking Veteran. Lowes has donated another wagon for The Walking Veteran to use during the Veterans Walk in Solidarity “Star of Love and Hope” event December 1, 2018 in Waldron, Arkansas.

Veterans Walk in Solidarity, VeteransWalkinSolidarity.com is expect a lot of support along with many veterans and supporters from around the country to attend their event in Waldron, Arkansas.  The day of events will begin at 1 pm in the Waldron High School Auditorium (seats 600) with special guest, awards, and entertainment. The veterans and special guest will honor Fred Potter, JusticeForFredPotter.com,

While in Forth Smith, The Walking Veteran was joined by Fred Potter to meet with managers at two Lowes stores.  Fred is a 88 year old Korean war veteran.  He served in the Marines and in the Army.  While in the Army, Fred had also served in Germany.

Dan Beyerle, manager at Lowes (store #462) in Forth Smith visited with The Walking Veteran and Fred Potter before contacting Edwin Burns, manager at Lowes (store #2598) in Van Buren, Arkansas who had a big surprise waiting.

Mr Burnes had presented to The Walking Veteran a new Walking Veteran Wagon on behalf of Lowes.  Thomas Hudson, The Walking Veteran, was very appreciative of the donation and will continue to walk to bring awareness to the abuse of Fred Potter, a fellow veteran and senior citizen.
