The Walking Veteran & Mayor Richard Anderson of Kingman, Arizona

The Walking Veteran visiting with the Honorable Richard Anderson, Mayor of Kingman, AZ May 5, 2016.

I had the awesome opportunity to visit with the Mayor in his office.  The Mayor gave me an abundance of time to discuss the purpose and mission of The Walk Across America.  I had also discussed the honoring of veterans during the walk.  He had autograph the book: “Never Ending Battle After Iraq” by Bryan Carpenter.  www.BattleAfterIraq.com

The Major had share his experience as an employee working in the Pentagon during 911.  His story was so moving that I was moved to tears.  We had discuss the city of Kingman and had learned that 8,000 veterans live in Kingman.   During the walk through town people had shown great hospitality and support towards veterans.  This is a city that I shall rate as:  “Veteran Friendly.”
